Diploma Hunts: Value the Nest10/22/09 10:30 AM

Thursday brings new Diploma Hunts! Collecting diploma pieces is a fun way of competing against yourself and others. For each piece, you will get 10 000 jewels and if you collect all pieces (1-3), you get an animated version of the diploma for everyone to see! Remember, only money tournaments count towards your diploma task points.

To get Near the Nest in Solitaire Swing, you need to score 2800 points or more in time bonus on a single level. Do this 17 times and the piece is yours!

The Words of Value in Scrabble Zing is all about the 3x word tiles. They are located in the corners and on the sides, and you need to use them with a valid word to get a task. 15 tasks means that you have the piece!

Even dafter, king cannot renew the license for Deal or No Deal, yet they squander millions in sponsoring the actual show. Then one of their ads gets pulled for inaccuracies, laughably, it involves Scrabble Zing.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Might I suggest that King design a Scrabble-like game, perhaps a smaller version? Scrabble can copyright the name, and patent the specific board layout, but that's it. Beyond that, the premise - a crossword game - isn't unique enough to patent.

Yes, we could develop a crossword typ game that is distinctly different. I guess that it would either be too far from scrabble to be interesting, or too close making it a bit shaky legally.

Nevermind... I thought I'd have to pour through posts to find an answer, but here it was already answered just one page away... :) No Scrabble for U.S. due to licensing. *Sigh*
