Trishelle Shares Her Experiences at King AND How to Save the World!
This week I was able to sit down with Trishelle and ask her some very tough questions about how to solve the economic downturn, the war, government corruption, and mounting world-wide pollution, all of which she came up with dazzling and brilliant answers. But before I get to her views of how to save the world, I thought I would first ask her about being a member of King:

Alotudo: So you’ve been a member for about two and a half years, and you have a star diamond with about 7.6 million jewels. How did you do it so fast?

Trishelle: Fast? It took two and a half years! LOL Seriously though, it isn't rocket science ... awards, diplomas and freerolls are where the big jewels are and I go after them with a whole lot of fortitude and a little bit of stupidity :) The only thing that irked me about star diamond was that I got it ONE WEEK after King changed the member profiles and took away the purple wallpaper I worked so long and so hard to get :( I'm hoping they'll bring it back some day so that I can decorate the great room in my castle with it ;)

Alotudo: So what games are you best at…for the sake of room here on the blog, please only list the top 30.

Trishelle: I actually think it's kind of funny that some people think I'm good at so many of these games. I'm an idiot savante in a few of them, average in some, mediocre at others, and outright suck at the rest. My favorites (and probably my best) are Jelly Swelly, Twist Me Silly and Pyramid Quest.

Alotudo: Here are some stats that I dug up: 111 Diplomas and 101 Awards. Plus here are Trishelle’s rankings in just a few games:
    Empress: 8-Ball Pool
Warrior Queen: Bejeweled 2, Four Seasons, Jelly Swelly, Pool King
Queen: Bacteria Hysteria, Big Bang, Boneyard Bonanza, Cat Corner, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Klick Klack, Magic Spinball, Rainbow Rescue, Sudoku Sweep, Twist Me Silly
Seamstress: Chain Reaction (Sorry Trishelle, I only counted one that you “suck” at. LOL)

Trishelle: You missed my highest rank ... Conquerette in Pyramid Quest! LOL But trust you to find my lowly rank in Chain Reaction ... with a little more effort, I should be able to reach the lofty rank of Leper in that one soon ;)

Alotudo: With these kind of outstanding stats, our readers want to know about how much time a day you spend on King.com?

Trishelle: I used to spend a lot more time here than I do these days. I'm the kind of person who needs a goal ... something to go after. Once I reached star diamond and there was no jewel level above that, I found myself spending less time on King. These days, you'll find me here for about 2 hours a day.

Alotudo: So if they brought back the purple wallpaper and another jewel level…look out King World!

Alotudo: I have battled a number of 11-player challenges against you. You are very tough to beat. I remember playing Twist Me Silly. Thinking I had received a great score, until the result card showed you with a score of about four times mine. I was amazed! I’ve wanted to ask this question for a long time… How do you play Twist Me Silly sooooo fast. Are your hands just a blur or something? Do you drink 3 pots of coffee first? LOL

Trishelle: I actually don't drink coffee ... growing up in a tea-drinking British family, I never acquired a taste for it LOL. The key to high scores in TMS isn't caffeine ... it's continuing to play when all hell is breaking loose on the board and not sitting back admiring your handiwork ;)

Alotudo: OH, I guess I am guilty of doing just that! Had you played many computer games much before joining King?

Trishelle: I didn't play any computer games at all before joining King, I was a total newbie!

Alotudo: You’re kidding! Wow! You have certainly succeeded at mastering these games!!! So then what inspired you to join king if you had never really played any computer games?

Trishelle: Boredom mostly LOL I was looking for info on a US TV network's website and saw a banner ad which said, "Play Deal Or No Deal online". I clicked on it and it took me to King. It looked interesting, but I'm a bit cautious about signing up for things using my real info, so I created a silver account with a fictitious name and address until I was sure it was legitimate. After I played there for awhile and felt reassured, I upgraded my account to gold and gave them my real name and address. The only problem is, I used Hollywood, CA 90210 as my fictional address and even though I gave them my real address in Canada when I upgraded, the US flag stuck :(

Alotudo: Based on things you have said in the past, I get the feeling that you are perhaps something of an artist?

Trishelle: I was in figure skating, dance and piano when I was young ... all artistic, but not the painting and drawing kind of art. Of the three, dance was my passion ... in skating, I spent most of my time defrosting my butt after separating it from the ice and I only took piano because my mother was a piano teacher so I didn't really have a choice ;)

Alotudo: So everyone wants to know about the Deep Purple man room that you painted at your home. What is it, who is it for, and why purple?

Trishelle: It's not just any purple, it's Hard Rock purple :) Home decorating is a hobby of mine, and I don't do white walls. The man room is a music studio for the bitter half, so the Hard Rock theme fits. I even used a cymbal bought at a pawn shop for the light fixture LOL

Alotudo: ...is that bitter half or better half? LOL!!!

Trishelle: Well he's certainly not the better half, so his nickname is the bitter half ;)

Alotudo: Ha! Love it!!!! Does he know that! LOL

Alotudo: Okay, I am really curious about what kind of work have you done in the real world.

Trishelle: They say the average person makes a major career change at least three times in their life and I'm no exception. In my past life, I was a ballet dancer but after injury ended that career, I turned to my second love which was writing. I got a degree in communications and spent many years working in corporate communications and media relations before I was dragged into the exciting world of software development. I'm still there, employed as a Software Business Analyst.

Alotudo: I understand you have recently been in Europe. Tell us about that. (By the way, Trishelle’s home is in Western Canada bordering on the pacific coast)

Trishelle: I work for a company in London (I know, it's a heck of a commute LOL), so my job requires me to travel there 3 - 4 times a year. On these trips, I've taken the opportunity to see a few other countries and meet some King friends in person. On my trip in June, I visited effi in Sweden and last week, I visited ke-k in Denmark.

Alotudo: What an absolutely fun thing to get to do!!!! I am assuming you took a lot of pictures?

Alotudo: Woops, looks like we are out of time, but I really want to thank you for your time and for sharing about yourself and your King experience. We all wish you the best of luck in Chain Reaction. Look for the money challenge I will be sending your way in CR, Trish!
